Clip of the Day for Underground Wheel Company.

My friend Walter Lohr at Underground Wheel Company hooked me up with the "Clip of the Day". This line was filmed in complete darkness save for the camera light and after I had recently broken my left wrist and right thumb. It was super sketchy because if I fell I couldn't stop my fall with my hands.

Meet the JWards.

My friends Jeremy Ward and Jody Gleason tied the knot yesterday. Jeremy and I met as young skateboarders back in 1996. From the skate park in Freeport, to hanging out in Boston every weekend, to moving back up here to Portland. Jeremy and I had some wild fuckin' times. Some of the stories I don't repeat because I'm not sure the statute of limitations has passed on some of the situations that went down, haha. It is with great pleasure to see that the guys I grew up with have all come so far. Now that we're all older and following different path's we don't get together unless a prominent event, such as a wedding, is involved. And what a great wedding they had yesterday. It was the best day we have seen in a long time and the booze was free. And, on top of it all, they bussed us in from the Park n Ride on Marginal Way.

G-Dog was holding it down for the cute dog squad.

And, leading the charge.

The bridesmaid's. I would like to point out that the dude on the far left is a bridesmaid. I am in no way talking any shit, I just thought it was an interesting and compelling twist.

My dude's looking wicked fackin sharp.

The JWards are a beautiful couple.

Team Handsome assembles like Voltron.

Sparkler party.

The bar started running low on cups and divvied out these for a bit. I would also like to point out the bartender's were the biggest bitches ever. It was kind of awesome. They we're middle aged ladies who did not give a fuck and talked to me about seeing Lynrd Skynrd perform, "Simple Man", seven times. Also, they we're definitely wasted and smoking butts all night. So good.

That hot blonde girl on the left is Stacey. I didn't meet her until we danced it down on the last song. But it was a fun dance.

Kate sparkling.

Dance party.

Phil and Amy Taisey.

Class acts.

This is a lot of handsome for one picture to handle.

Ward brings the rock.

The party bus back to Portland was epic. Somebody convinced the driver to drop us off at Empire, too. So after stopping at Marginal Way and dropping off a bunch of people we got dropped off at the bar. It was a great day. Congratulations to Jeremy and Jody Ward.

96 Mentality.

This is my part from the ESNC video entitled,96 Mentality. It was filmed in Lawrence, MA and Portland, ME over the spring and summer of 2011. Looking back on it, it's pretty crazy to think I turned 30 while working on this project. And, I have clips in this part that were filmed a week after I fractured my left wrist and right thumb.

Ducky Boys and Hudson Falcons. Geno's 02.04.12

I can't really quantify in words how hyped I was on this show. I have been listening to The Ducky Boys since 1998 when I got my hands on a copy of Dark Days and I have been real into the Hudson Falcons since my friend Jason Hazlett picked up a copy of Desperation and Revolution back in 2001. Jay and I definitely put back many beers in Lowell, MA listening to that album. Sidenote: Jay used to also brew homemade cider in these plastic water containers before we were 21. And I'll tell ya, he used to make a mean fuckin cider. That ghetto-ass homebrew would fuck you up!

So anyway, Lenny Lashley of Darkbuster fame opened the show. I got to Geno's just as he finished so I missed his set. This is par for the course for me with Lenny Lashley performances in Portland. The dude always plays way too fucking early. He's cool as shit though and if ya need a soundtrack to berr drinking check out his musical endeavors.

Moving on, the Hudson Falcons are completely amazing. If there was any justice in the music world they would have the support of a major label and be the nationally recognized ambassador's of the current Jersey Shore Sound. Unfortunately, main stream America is force fed a diet of safe, gentrified, sterile rock consisting of a band whom I will not even name on my webpage.

Playing slide guitar with a fucking beer bottle! So good!

The Ducky Boys headlined the show and it was incredible. As I mentioned earlier I have been listening to them for a long time and it's always great to see them live. They ripped through a lot of classics as well as some new tunes from there recently released album entitled, Chasing the Ghost. Which I highly recommend. Mark Lind has a way of writing songs that anybody can relate to. He basically puts into song exactly what you are feeling. For real, if your going through tough times it's cathartic to listen to Ducky Boys tunes and know somebody went through the same shit.

ESNC Video Premiere in Dover, NH.

My friend Ralph Murphy hooked ESNC up with a video premiere at
Red Alert. It is a skate shop and skate park. The premiere is this upcoming Saturday, February 11 at 5pm. There will be a Best Trick contest. I also put in an order to have some more 96 Mentality Shirts screened with the intent of giving them all away. So, come out next Saturday, skate, chill and get some free shit.

MOTORHEAD 01.29.12

The fellas and I road tripped it down to Lowell, MA on Sunday to check out the Motorhead show at Tsongas Arena. I lived in Lowell for four years and it was great to get down there and visit for a bit. I wasn't old enough to hit up bars when I lived there so I was pretty stoked to grab a couple or six beers before the show. My friend Tony Le who lives in Lowell met up with us and brought us to this really cool spot that has free pool.

This is Tony chilling at the free pool spot.

These are my friends I rolled down with. from L - R, Geoff, Nate and Jimmy.

Motorhead! They played a super short set but I was so hyped they played Damage Case. It's one of my favorite songs.

Look at the drum set in the background! Mickey Dee shreds it!!

Megadeth headlined the show. I never really listened to these dudes before but they were pretty good. Definitely talented with some good songs.

Dave Mustaine was rocking this beast of a guitar when the show opened.

It was one hell of a night with the homies! We all got home safe despite run ins with the cops, gallons of booze being consumed and traveling out of state. Don't get much better than that.

Saturday 01.28.12

Saturday Night out on the town. Super fun times. Me and
Keegs walked into the bar right as Buggin Out hit the first bass note. It was one of the top bar entrances I have ever made.

Saturday 01.21.12

Checked out the Educated Advocates show at SpAcE Gallery on Saturday night. A large group of my friends were kicking it and it was cool checking out some local rap. These guys were pretty good.

This is a photo of the opening act, The Sandbag Crew.

After the show we hit up Empire for a second night in a row. It's was fun times for sure. Jay and Seavey knocking back some shots.

Friday 01.20.12

My friends looking hella grimy on Friday night. This photo is so tight. It reminds me of a 90's rap album cover.

Here's another pic I took.

This is at Empire We have been hanging out here a lot lately. It's closer than Amigo's and they have $2 Miller High Life Pounders.

This lady was shredding the dance floor. She reminded me of the Old Lady from the Wedding Singer.

Monday Night.

My good friend from way back, Ben Skrzypek was back in Portland for a couple days and I was hyped. I had Monday off so we got to kick it and catch up. I hadn't seen him in years and it was rad to hang out with him again.

I met up with Ben and Shaheen at the Crow Bar around 9:30. We put down a couple beers before poetry night jumped off after which we made a quick exit. So to any of you's that want a forum to do spoken word check out the Crow Bar on Monday nights. Everybody was super supportive of the people that stood up.

We headed over to Novare Res after for a few pints and despite having to be up for work early on Tuesday I couldn't leave. It was too much fun hanging out with the homies! So, here I am super tired on Tuesday night but so hyped on the good times!!!

This is Shaheen and Ben.

This is me and Ben in the beer cooler and Novare Res has a serious fuckin beer cooler. That's probably $50,000 in beer behind us. Shaheen is the manager at Novare and recommended this amazing backdrop for our photo.

ESNC 96 Mentality Video Premiere

We premiered the ESNC video on Friday night at Re-Session skate shop in Portland, ME and it was a super fun time. The shop was packed and I couldn't have asked for a better turnout. Big ups to Gary for hosting the event!

This is one of my favorite photo's to be posted on here. I grew up skating with these guys and for us to all be in one place hanging out after so many years was truly great. From L - R: Geoff Bogle, Me, Dan Foster and Sean Hamlin.

The homies Gary Sabol and Max Greeley.

Here's a couple pics of the crowd.

We went to Dock Fore after to indulge in some $2 PBR's.
This is Dan, Gary, Tone Le and Charlie Field. Tony came all the way up from Lowell, MA with Bobby Parent for the premiere. I was so hyped! They are my super good friends from my days living in Lowell, MA and the surprise visit was amazing!

That's Tony in the background and Charlie and Bobby.

Geoff was chillin, too!

Ben Cironi was feelin the $2 PBR's.

This is me on the left and the homie Josh Talty. He bought me this shot and I really don't ever drink whiskey anymore but I couldn't say no.

This is Sean Hamlin and Dan Foster chillin.
