Another Night...

Here we are in downtown Portland again. I started the night off at Geoff and Siobhan's place with a six pack a PBR pounders before we went downtown.

This is Geoff Bogle, Margaret Keilty and Raz Sarich in Brian Boru's. I like the bands that play at this bar but more often than not this place is populated with douche bags. If I get enough beers in me I have a great time listening to the cover bands but at the same time I'm prone to intentionally shoulder checking the assholes that walk around in there P-Coats and dress shirts when I get real buzzed. Not trying to be an asshole but it's like why the fuck should I move if the other dude feels like an entitled douche bag walking through the crowd. Fuck them.

Margaret is a champ. She was drinking way more heavily than me and held it down with ease and style. Props Margaret, you drank me under the table!

This is a typical scenario in Portland. Some buffed out douche in a shirt that's way to small for him lurking on some super drunk girl. I'm pretty sure if anything real fucked up was going on somebody would have stepped in because this was right outside of the bar. I'm thinking this was the dudes girlfriend.

What the fuck?

I think this dude is looking at me blatantly taking pictures of this ridiculous scenario.

Really? I don't even know what to say to this.

01.04.11

Went out for a couple beers with Tim on Tuesday. I was still hungover from the weekend but you don't exactly have to twist my arm to get me out to a bar. Our first stop was Pat's Pizza so Tim could grab a bite to eat. It's a pretty rad spot and the food was very reasonably priced. The PBR pints we're only $2 but they we're flatter than the Midwest and a bit warm. Wasn't stoked.

The bathroom at Pat's has flat screen TV's in it. It just screams, "AMERICA!" at you, 'nah mean? I didn't get a flat screen TV until a month ago and these mother fuckers have that shit in the bathroom.

We went to Gritty's after and the couple beers we we're intending on having turned into a couple pitchers. These are my friends Mo Petit, Zac Petit and Tim is chilling in the "See No Evil" pose. There was this dude Travis James Humphrey playing acoustic jams and he fuckin killed it. I paid him a couple bucks to play some Merle Haggard and he knocked, "I Think I'll Just Stay Here and Drink" right outta the fuckin park. It was sick!
My friend Laurie, that I work with was down here, too. We get out of work at 6 and she was shredding beers at 12:00 still dressed in her work clothes. I was really stoked on that.
It was a bit of a struggle at work the next day but fun times none the less. VIVA BEER!

I'd rather laugh with the sinners then cry with the saints.

New Year's Eve 2010 was sick. The weather was super warm in Portland and the whole city seemed to be in a good mood. I knew it was gonna be a fun night when I stepped outside my apartment at 9pm and some dude was puking on the street corner. Hell yeah! My first stop was Dave Green's pad on State Street. As I was walking up, dude's we're battle freestyle rapping and somebody was driving a car on the sidewalk! Haha, so I get up to the door and twenty skateboarders are hanging out drinking on the stoop! I was fuckin stoked to see everybody. Dave had thrown an impromptu video premier for Jimmy Collins' new flick, "Maine & Simple", which is a damn good vid.
So we head inside to get more beverages. This is Jimmy and P-One chillin.

Here is Garrett Brooks, Sam McKenna and Dave Labbe kickin back.

Dave Green was making friends with the "Grandpa's Whisky".

And so was his girlfriend Jessie. They each took multiple chugs off this bottle and seemed stone sober. And then later hungout at the bar all night. They got some stamina.

I have never seen 6 pack holders used in this manner. How rad is this? I had to take a picture of it because it rules!

This is Max Fenwick and Alex Winslow kickin it in Amigo's. We had a huge crew there all night and it was a blast. So many ridiculous situations. At one point some girl starting talking to me in some weird code and then spelled the words on my chest with her finger and then kissed me on the cheek. She then kept repeating, "I can't help you". What do you even do in such a situation? Anyway, hope you all had a fun and safe New Year's Eve as well!

I went up to the Bath Skatepark on Sunday to help judge a contest. It was a good turnout and a good time for all those that attended. Bath park is super fun and a great place to cruise around. Check out a video Jay Brown made of the Bath park a couple of years agohere.

This is my friend Ammon. He's been shredding for so long. He can somehow do "No Comply Airs" out of quarterpipes. In fifteen years of skating I have never seen anybody else do that. He is pictured here with one of the trophy decks for the comp. Ammon - you deserve a REAL pro board!

This is my friend Erich Koehler shreddin. Check out more footage of him here.

This is my friend Cory Iles. Check out his part in "Mixed Effect" here.

Portland, Maine 12.18.10

We we're hanging out in Portland and came across some people from Tim Horton's handing out free coffee. This dude wore some shit that looked like a fire extinguisher on his back and distributed coffee. It was pretty rad. This is Jay Brown stirring his coffee with his toothbrush.

We went up to Adams School after. These are my friends Jimmy Collins and Sam McKenna.

Jim works on the Discovery Channel show "American Loggers" up in Millinocket, ME. He has a blog, too, named "Shitfoot". Check it out here.

Jay Brown shreddin.

Sam McKenna shreds. Front Smith.

Jay got down on this pallet. I think he did at least 30 tricks on this damn thing. Back Nosegrind here.

Went out to Rosie's for a couple beers on Saturday night with my friend Tim Cossar. We stopped at Cumberland Farms so he could pick up a pack of butts and these dudes were attaching the bumper of there Pontiac Grand Am with zip ties in the parking lot. The cops stopped by because it was just such a ridiculous scenario. Before Tim played in his band "American Nightmare" he was in seminal Boston Youth Crew band "Ten Yard Fight". Check out a video of them here.
